General Art Classes

A general art class enables students to create at their own pace and create with the subjects and materials they prefer. I walk around the class, giving advice on composition, drawing, colour and application. This class is ideal for those who prefer not to follow a set class format. The benefit of this is that you can really develop your own style based on your preferred interests and materials.

This class format is also ideal for beginners. As a beginner you will be given a more structured start, where you will follow a series of projects that will introduce you to drawing skills and slowly introduce you to colour and the various materials that i specialize in. Beginners also really benefit from seeing what the other students are doing.

It’s wonderful to see how many beginners have become very accomplished artists.

These classes run in 4 week blocks and cost £32

Demonstration Led Classes

Demonstration led by myself, these classes have been a huge success. .

Each 4 week block has a new subject and material focus. I demonstrate and paint with the class. This is great for those who prefer to see how to approach a project and the techniques that follow. We all work on the same image, which allows us to discuss the same composition, drawing, colour theory and suggested applications.

Its amazing how the students in these classes have developed and pushed their paintings and drawings to a very high standard. Even when we work on the same subject and colours etc, our paintings are never the same. This shows everyone how we are all different and want different things from our art. For this reason students can opt out of a subject and work on their own project instead, while still getting to hear and see the demonstrations.

We cover many subjects from, portraiture, landscape, still life, wildlife and animal art, abstract painting, expressive abstract art, surrealism, realism, and many more. the materials we us to explore all these subjects are Oil Paint, Acrylic Paint, Water Colour, Soft Pastel, Oil Pastel, Ink, coloured pencil, Pastel Pencils, Spray Paint, Charcoal, Graphite Pencil, collage and textural surfaces.

These classes run in 4 Week blocks and cost £42
